Down etc, a leader in the down and bedding industry, is launching its first “Hug it like you love it!”® program with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley and Stillheart Institute. “Girl Power, a free all day event for 75 girls from disadvantaged families who are members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley, is about celebrating all that’s great about being a girl and providing the support girls need for successfully negotiating coming into their teen years. Down etc, a purveyor of luxury down and bedding products to the hospitality industry is sponsoring the event and donating heart shaped pillows to all attendees though it’s program Hug it like you love it! ®.

“The Hug it like you love it program! ® was conceived to give back to the community for its support of Down etc over the years. People spend a third of their life in bed. Eight hours a night equals a third of the day, equals a third of your life. You should LOVE your pillow and get a good night’s rest,” says Rebecca Litwin, CEO & Founder of Down etc. “When sleep is essential, almost every person in the world thinks of laying his or her head on a nice, soft pillow. The pillow has been a part of recorded human history and has proven critical for providing comfort. We are so excited to launch our 'Hug it like you love it!' ® program with the Girl Power event. We are very grateful to the Stillheart Institute for providing this amazing experience for these deserving kids. Each girl will receive her very own heart shaped pillow she can take home, squeeze and hug.”
