Langhorne, PA (PRWEB) March 21, 2012
Langhorne, Pennsylvania pediatric dentist Russel Bechtloff, DDS will let one lucky patient choose a charity to receive a donation of $150, at the conclusion of a contest meant to engage patients and inform them about dental health.
“Dr. B,” as patients warmly call him, takes a strong interest in the local community, supporting local charities on a personal level. He is a classical pianist and focuses on local education about music and art, presenting programs and assemblies in the Langhorne-area elementary schools. Dr. B has served as President of the Newtown Chamber Orchestra for the past two years, and has for the past six years directed a free children’s classical concert called “Kids Connect to the Classics,” for elementary school students. He is also involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Trenton.
Now Dr. B will also give back through his practice. In an effort to get kids excited about oral health, Dr. Bechtloff and his team have developed a contest, and the winner will receive a gift certificate of their own, and will choose a local charity to receive $150.
“It has always been a priority for me to give back to the community,” said Dr. Bechtloff. “I see this as a way to open children’s eyes to the to the impact of charitable giving, and encourage them to provide ongoing support to local causes as they become young adults.”
The contest concludes on April 30th at which time a young patient will select the charity. “Patients and parents are looking forward to finding out which local cause will be selected, concludes Dr. Bechtloff.”
The practice of DrB4Kids is currently exploring other opportunities to educate children about the importance of oral health, while at the same time teaching them valuable lessons about the impact of charitable giving.
