In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life...” This statement forms the foundation of the Church of Jesus Christ, which is always about the truth. In relation to this, author Brother Gene shares an enlightening and inspiring read on how To Be Like Jesus: Christian Devotionals and Brief Bible Studies.
Grounded in the Bible, the Written Word of the Living God, this book is inspired from multiple life experiences and from the Word of God. But these writings are not devotionals in the traditional sense. They are, essentially, topical Bible studies condensed into the devotional format. But coming to in the miracle of “New Birth” is only the beginning. To Be Like Jesus is about the continuation of that Life.
Filled with insightful reflections and biblical scriptures, To Be Like Jesus paves the way for people to establish a closer and more intimate relationship with Jesus. The author invites readers to read it with their spirit and their mind open to the Holy Spirit. He reminds them that all study of the Word of God, the Bible, must be done with an open mind and heart to receive the truth, even if that truth contradicts long-held traditions.

About the Author
Brother Gene came to know the Lord Jesus Christ in 1959. He remembered that night very well. There was no revival meeting, no bells or whistles, but on that night, his entire life changed. The author had wanted a career in country music…wanted it badly. But that night he walked out of his wife’s parents’ home into the driveway, looked up into the sky where he thought that God was, and prayed the simple little prayer “God, have mercy on me, a sinner.” That night Jesus Christ came into his life, and the rest is all detail. “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name.”
