Georgia attorney Ed Gadrix’s new and controversial audio program, “Winning Strategies for Men in Divorce and Custody Case” (http://www.gadrix.com) has survived an investigation by the State Bar of Mississippi. Gadrix developed his audio CDs and written material targeted towards men going through divorce who want to save their assets and gain custody of their children. The course shows steps a man should take to win his case, some before he gets an attorney. The program is marketed nationwide.

A complaint was filed by Mississippi lawyers before the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee of the Mississippi Bar in Case No. UPL 11-39, alleging Gadrix was practicing law in their State without a license. The case was taken under investigation by the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee which entered its decision this week saying, the ”Mississippi Bar’s Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee has reviewed the information ... as well as conducted an investigation, and has determined that there is no unauthorized practice of law. The complaint is dismissed and the file closed.”

Gadrix released a statement thanking the State Bar of Mississippi and saying, “There is no question ‘“Winning Strategies”’ is on the cutting edge of one of the big subjects today, gender bias. That has to include men discriminated against in divorce cases. And they don’t teach in law school what I teach in “Winning Strategies.” This makes out-of-date lawyers uncomfortable. I expect other states to challenge this dynamite program as we open the last frontier for men. I respect the good lawyers. But “Winning Strategies” is crafted to protect my listeners and readers from bad lawyers. A big part of the “Winning Strategies” program is teaching the listener how to find the right attorney –the good attorneys.

Gadrix also said, “I do a lot of speaking like TV’s psychologist, Dr. Phil, and he’s not licensed in every state either. Maybe in the legal area, I’m his Eddie Esquire counterpart!”
