Spring is nearly here, and Elegant Linens, luxury bedding boutique, brings their customers the latest and greatest of the Spring 2012 Luxury Bedding Collections now available for purchase. Famed luxury bedding houses like Matouk and Peacock Alley recently previewed their diverse and colorful 2012 lineup in New York, NY, and Elegant Linens has added the best of the new wares to its exclusive collection.

The official first day of Spring is March 20, but for luxury bedding retailer, Elegant Linens, Spring 2012 is now. Following the unveiling of the Spring 2012 collections from top luxury bedding houses at the New York International Gift Fair (NYIGF) in early Feb, Elegant Linens announces the arrival of the new spring collections on their shelves.

Bountiful color comes with the Spring season. To celebrate, luxury bedding house, Matouk, specifically LULU DK for Matouk, offers the pink and pretty Petals Collection in a 300-thread-count, Egyptian cotton percale. Peacock Alley's most colorful new collection is the Catalina, a 100% linen classic damask design in Sea Glass, Marine, and Coral. Refreshingly bright and beautiful blues display in LULU DK's Admiral, Regatta, Lyford, and Cove collections, as well as in their new, decorative Juniper throw pillows, which also come in Crocus (think light purple) and Geranium (think salmon pink). The Admiral, which is navy with a white rope coiling across the surface, comes in a duvet, shams, and bedskirt. Admiral shower curtains to match are available upon request. Also available in a duvet, shams, or bedskirt is the colorful Lyford Floral Collection, a gorgeous 300-thread-count percale whirling with the floral energy of spring and available in uplifting Spring 2012 colors: Ocean (akin to sky blue), Geranium, and Crocus.

LULU DK rounds out its colorful offerings with the Cove Collection, featured in Matouk's Spring 2012 Collection as part of the “LULU IN THE SUN” designs. The Cove Collection is a 300-thread-count percale in a hatch design, available in 4 colors: Crocus, Geranium, Ocean, and Tendril (spring green). Finally, LULU DK offers their new Regatta 300-thread-count, percale sheeting, sporting a fun and fashionable sailboat print. Any Spring 2012 Collection is not complete without the fresh, bright whites that classically distinguish the season's offerings. Both Peacock Alley and Matouk added clean and pristine whites to their new and existing lines, making way for the brighter days of summer.

Peacock Alley added white to the Mandalay line, which is a 100% linen comforter cover with contrasting piping in Linen, a color that loosely correlates to a taupe. Designers also added a white, quilted coverlet to their Biscayne line, which features Portuguese-crafted, 300-thread-count cotton. They also added the Adiago, Angelina, Porto, Majorca, and Gigi Lines, all of which contain the bright white of Spring 2012.

The Adiago, Peacock Alley's new sheet of the season, is a 300-thread-count, Egyptian cotton sateen with lilting, interlocking embroidery, available in four colors to detail the fresh white sheet: Coral, Linen, Sea, and (surprise) – White! The Angelina is a gorgeous, white pique matelasse, with an endearingly classic antique flair. The Porto Line in White features a matelasse and shams with a flowing wave pattern, rich in texture and visual style. The Majorca Line consists of soft, similarly wave-patterned throw pillows, available in 3 colors, including White. Finally, the Gigi Collection shows off its pleated, cotton pique magic. Designed to invoke the finery and cosmopolitanism of a crisply-pressed tuxedo shirt, the Gigi Collection suggests a ready elegance. Continuing the trend set in Fall 2011, designers for Spring 2012 remain excited with blues, flints, grays and off-whites, such as Peacock Alley's Nude color, which is a slightly cooler, pinkish gray tone. The Angelina matelasse and the Majorca throw pillows detailed above are both newly offered for Spring in Linen and Flint, in addition to White. Peacock Alley's popular Soprano 420-thread-count sheets are now available in Flint and Nude for Spring. Matouk's French Blue, Ocean, Ivory, Linen, and Ice (pale blue) colors also reflect designers' continuing affection for Fall 2011's cooler colors and neutral tones.

New from Matouk, one can find some exquisitely beautiful new luxury bedding collections in White. The Imari, Lanai, Lucinda, and Olivia all reflect Matouk's relentless attention to detail. The Imari Collection comes in glorious 600-thread-count sateen in White, finished with appliqués of Gingko leaves and a scalloped border with piping. With leaf and piping detail available in four Spring colors – Leaf, Champagne, Blue, & Ivory – this bedding is a true pleasure to behold. Also available is the Imari pique coverlet and shams, available with Blue or Ivory detail. The Lanai Collection also has a lovely scalloped boarder and comes in a wider range of colors: Crocus, Ice, Ivory, Linen, Ocean, Opal, and White – or White with contrast piping in Crocus, Geranium, Ocean, or Tendril. The line is a 60% cotton, 40% poly blend for ease of care, and is a pique, which adds subtle texture and style to the entire collection. The Lucinda Collection, revealing simple elegance, comes in 350-thread-count cotton and is finished with hemstitch detail. Available in 5 colors, French Blue, Ivory, Linen, Opal, and White, the entire ensemble mixes and matches well with others. Last, but far from least, the Olivia Collection graces Matouk's new Spring 2012 Collection. This impeccable 600-thread-count Egyptian cotton collection has a Swiss-made, lace inset that distinguishes this exquisite line from the rest. The classically beautiful Olivia has modern sensibility and is available in White and Ivory.

Matouk's new sheeting includes the Cosima sheeting, a 350-thread-count percale in Spring 2012's favored White, finished with a crisp double pleat and a lovely sateen cuff, available in 5 colors: French Blue, Ivory, Linen, Opal, and White. Their new Marlowe Line is a 200-thread-count poly blend with two-row bias tape, available in 8 of the season's trending colors: Crocus, Geranium, Ice, Ivory, Linen, Ocean, Opal, and Navy.

To top the bed, Matouk added the Luna, a soft and appealing quilted sateen that features a subtle, yet intricate diamond railway pattern. This 350-thread-count sateen has understated richness and is available in Spring 2012's signature colors: French Blue, Linen, Ivory, Opal, and White. Their Salon Collection has duvet covers and shams in percale, available in the base of ivory or white, with fine, tape detail. Luxury bedding house Signoria de Firenze also added lovely grays and neutrals to their Spring 2012 collection. They offer Tuscan Dreams in White, Ivory, Pearl, Flax & Silver Sage and their new Double in White with Ivory & Silver Moon with Lead Gray. Tuscan Dreams is a sumptuous, 430-thread-count percale, and the Double is a delightful 300-thread-count sateen. They also have three new prints. The first is a gloriously subtle print in a decadent 500-thread-count Egyptian cotton jacquard, their Sciara, detailed with a modern interpretation on the classic scroll pattern. The next collection, their Torquis, invokes the elegant simplicity of a string of pearls with its beaded necklace pattern in a 400-thread-count percale. Finally, their Kalamos collection displays their boldest print (especially in the Pearl and Wilton Blue), an abstract print that evokes the natural lines of high grasses leaning with summer breezes. Kalamos is a 300-thread-count sateen and is also available in Ivory with Flax/Sand. For a closer look at these fabulous Signoria 2012 designs visit http://www.elegantlinenspc.com/Signoria.htm.
