When customers book their preferred flight and hotel together in the one transaction, they’re able to save up to 25% on the price they would pay if they chose to book them individually.

Zuji.com.au has reported a 300% year on year increase in holiday bookings as more and more cash-savvy travellers opt to combine their flight and hotel bookings in order to save.
ZUJI Australia is attributing the online booking growth to a combination of a range of factors including an increase in customer confidence in online travel booking and the slowdown in the economy, resulting in Australian travellers being more money conscious.
ZUJI managing director Asia Pacific and general manager Australia, James Gaskell says the company’s research shows Australians are still keen holiday-goers, however they are increasingly exploring new ways to travel without breaking the bank.
“When customers book their preferred flight and hotel together in the one transaction, they’re able to save up to 25% on the price they would pay if they chose to book them individually," says Gaskell.
“This is because as a travel agent, we’re allowed to work from a lower pricing structure when we sell a flight and hotel together as a holiday. In dollar terms, depending on the destination, this can easily add up to $250 or more in savings.”
In the past, booking holidays online restricted customers to a set package without the freedom to choose their preferred length of stay, hotel or airline. However, Gaskell stresses that ZUJI’s technology has removed such restrictions, leaving customers free to choose near limitless combinations.
“The control is now all in the hands of the consumer,” says Gaskell.
