This VA newcomer doesn't sacrifice “swag” for lyrical prowess

Kid Named Breezy is often referred to as Mr. Snapback, currently seen as one of the freshest emcees in the game. But don’t get it twisted, this VA newcomer doesn't sacrifice “swag” for lyrical prowess – in fact, Breezy doesn’t see why being young and fly can’t team up with dope lyrics in order to create hip-hop’s perfect artist. Breezy names Tupac, Fresh Prince and a Tribe Called Quest as his main influences.

Diversity is plain and evident after one listen to Breezy’s latest mixtape release, “Snapback with a Life Full.” With a 90’s style of fashion (surely that’s where Fresh Prince comes into play) and putting emphasis on the 90’s aspect of hip-hop, Breezy is able to tell stories through his music.

“Snapback with a Life Full” is available now and features Pusha T from the Clipse, one of Kanye West’s front men on his G.O.O.D. Music label who was featured on Kanye’s Grammy nominated and performed single, “Runaway” off his multi-platinum album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.”

“Snapback with a Life Full” can be heard at DatPiff.

People began taking notice to Breezy with those latest tape; feats were accomplished such as being featured on MTV2’s Sucker Free Freestyle spotlight. The single with Pusha T and Jigg titled “See About Us” or “We Right Here” was selected as AllHipHop’s “heater of the day” as well as being featured on popular sites/blogs such as HipHopDX, HotNewHipHop, NahRight and more.
