Homewood, CA (PRWEB) March 22, 2012
West Shore Technologies, Inc. today announced a partnership with Aloha Tournament’s Summer Sizzle event in July 2012 and Diamond Showcase in November 2012.
The partnership will enable college coaches using SportsBoardTM Lacrosse Scout, West Shore’s patent-pending iPad scouting and assessment application, to obtain player profile data that will be pre-loaded in their iPads. Last month, West Shore announced a similar relationship with Jake Reed’s Nike Blue Chip Rising events scheduled for June and July.
Chris Hutchins, an Aloha Tournament director, said the partnership gives coaches a chance to take advantage of the latest technology.
“We always try to offer college coaches the best experience they can have at our recruiting events,” Hutchins said. “We see Lacrosse Scout as a technology that, over time, will simplify the coach’s task of scouting and recruiting players for their programs.”
Lacrosse Scout replaces the bulky printed player packets and gives coaches the ability to enter ratings and textnotes, record voicememos and take photos/footage for any player at these events on their iPads.
Gregg Jacobs, West Shore’s founder and CEO, sees more tournaments gaining interest in partnering with his company.
“More and more tournament/camp operators are seeing the benefits to the college coaches,” Jacobs states. “Aloha and Jake Reed were the first to embrace SportsBoard and we are excited about how these events, and others who we are now in discussions with, will enable coaches’ data collection processes to be so much better with this iPad automation.”
“SportsBoard fully automates college coaches’ ability to assess talent, electronically share those assessments with other coaches on their staff, and make better, data-driven recruiting decisions,” Jacobs said. “And now that we are interfacing with recruiting and compliance systems like Front Rush and others, we are eliminating all of the data entry time coaches spend after attending events like Nike Blue Chip.”
Early adopters of Lacrosse Scout include US Naval Academy, Christopher Newport University, University of Pennsylvania, Gordon College and Marymount University, as well as eleven collegiate programs in women’s lacrosse.
Pennsylvania Coach Mike Murphy recognized the potential of Lacrosse Scout immediately. “The ability to record notes and voicememos in an iPad rather than on binders is going to save us so much time,” he said. “I am excited to start using Lacrosse Scout this summer after our season ends at all of the events West Shore is partnering with.”
SportsBoard Scout is also available for Women’s Lacrosse, Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Volleyball, Field Hockey, and Rugby. For more information about West Shore Technologies, visit http://www.sportsboard-win.com.
