M&A owns and operates 773 miles of 69kV line, 149 miles of 161kVline, 47.5 miles of 34.5 line and 58 miles of 345 line. They own and operate 83 substations as well as operate and maintain a 161/345/500 substation for Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. at the New Madrid Power Plant.

Black River Electric Cooperative was formed 1938 and serves 24,000 members in the counties of Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Dent, Iron, Madison, Perry, Reynolds, Shannon, St. Francois and Wayne. The new system features Survalent’s highly available, open-architecture system based on Windows Server 2008. It includes several of Survalent's open system applications, including: WorldView, SCADA Explorer, Command Sequence, IED Wizard, Control Panel, SCADA Add-In and Remote Alarm Annunciation.

“M&A Electric Power Cooperative has been a Survalent customer since 2004,” states Mike Bowdle, VP Sales and Marketing. “We are very pleased to work with M&A and their member distribution cooperatives on this deployment.”
