The Aloft Bolingbrook hotel won 2012 Business of the Year. The award, given by the Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce, was bestowed at the seventh annual Best of Bolingbrook Businesses Awards banquet, held Friday, March 9th, 2012 at the Bolingbrook Golf Club. Business of the Year is the Chamber’s highest honor.

Of the chamber’s 675 members, more than 60 businesses were nominated for the award. Nominees were required to describe their unique and innovative business approaches, highlight corporate citizenship initiatives and explain how they set themselves apart from competitors. In its nomination form, Aloft noted that it had made a number of charitable donations to the community including West Suburban Community Pantry, Episcopal Church of St. Benedict, St. Baldrick’s Foundation, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and the Lions Club just to name a few. The hotel also has developed strong relationships with community members such as Gordon Biersch, The Bolingbrook Promenade, and the Bolingbrook Parks District.
