The New York office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has elevated three attorneys to shareholder and five to of counsel. Reflecting the firm's diversified platform and wide-ranging legal experience, the 2012 class in the New York represents several key areas of practice, including business reorganization & financial restructuring, litigation, real estate and tax. Overall, the firm elevated 51 attorneys, including 29 to shareholder and 22 to of counsel.
The new shareholders in New York include Amy M. Arentowicz, Justin B. Kleinman and Joseph A. Vallo.
Amy Arentowicz's represents owners, developers and financial institutions in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions. She concentrates on the acquisition and sale of hotels, office and retail properties, commercial mortgage, mezzanine and construction financings, debt restructurings and joint ventures.
Justin B. Kleinman represents private equity funds, financial institutions, joint ventures and other investors and operators in the acquisition, financing, development and sale of commercial property and other real estate-related assets. He has extensive experience in debt restructuring and financing of multi-asset portfolios on behalf of both nationally-recognized lender/investor clients and owner/developer clients both domestically and internationally.
Joseph A. Vallo, practices in the firm’s New York and White Plains offices. He has wide-ranging experience in retail brokerage compliance in domestic and international markets. He focuses on securities arbitration, mediation and litigation.
The new of counsel attorneys in New York include Scott E. Fink, Kristie G. King-Brown, Daniel R. Milstein, Denise J. Penn and Ellen B. Schleifstein.
Scott E. Fink concentrates on civil and criminal federal tax controversies and litigation. He represents corporations, partnerships, estates and individuals in a wide range of matters before the U.S. Tax Court and the Internal Revenue Service's Examination Division, Collection Division, Appeals Office, Criminal Division and Office of Chief Counsel. Fink also has experience writing and speaking on compliance issues with regard to offshore accounts.
Kristie G. King-Brown concentrates on residential and commercial real estate matters. She has a wide range of experience with leasing, land development and lending issues.
Daniel R. Milstein is experienced in a broad array of complex commercial disputes. His practice focuses primarily on enforcing secured creditors' rights and disputes involving the owners, operators, sellers, developers and buyers of commercial real estate.
Denise J. Penn represents financial institutions, debtors, distressed investors, secured and unsecured creditors, distressed asset sellers and bidders, and other parties-in-interest in acquisitions, restructurings and bankruptcy cases.
Ellen B. Schleifstein focuses on the defense of complex products liability litigation in both state and federal courts in the United States.
