Business North Carolina’s March issue named QHR client hospital Northern Hospital of Surry County (NHSC) in Mount Airy, North Carolina as one of North Carolina’s Best Hospitals for the third year in a row. This year NHSC was also listed as one of North Carolina’s top 10 hospitals.

Business North Carolina’s ratings are based on Medicare and Medicaid data, North Carolina Hospital Association and other sources for 12 criteria that include: patient satisfaction; death rates for heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia; readmission rates for heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia; patient-safety records and hospital-acquired conditions for procedures such as heart and vascular surgery; joint replacements; and female reproductive surgery.
