Cinnabar Home’s New Showroom Offers Sophisticated, Quality Home Furnishings that let SF Bay Area Residents Breathe Easier

Cinnabar Home announces the grand opening of its new showroom at 853 Industrial Road, Suite E, in San Carlos, between the Holly and Whipple exits on Highway 101.

Principal designer and owner, C. Bailey Ramsden, has been working in the design trade since 1996 when she started her own window treatment and upholstery workroom. Having developed serious chemical sensitivities over the years, she now focuses her passion for elegant, stylish and comfortable home furnishings on items that are low in environmental toxins. The Cinnabar Home showroom reflects Ms. Ramsden’s discerning taste and vast experience with a thoughtful selection of low toxicity furnishings, accessories and textiles for the home that have a sophisticated, international flavor.

Her private label upholstery line is made by one of the top manufacturers in the country that utilizes little or no petroleum-based foam in its fabrications. Rugs are all natural fiber and hand-crafted by artisans throughout Asia. Many of them are entirely free from dyes and chemical treatments. You’ll also find a line of fine European bed linens that are made from organic cotton, as well as other premium fibers, like lyocel, linen, silk and wool. Custom and ready-made window treatments and bedding selections are also available in the showroom.

Of course, no room would be complete without artwork to add color, character and ambience. Cinnabar Home seeks to support local artists and their work, and is currently showing the California Impressionist Style work of plein air painter, Julia Seelos.

Ms. Ramsden, who obtained her design degree in 2005, offers a full range of interior design services including window treatments, furniture selection & design, fine art selection, paint color consultation, interesting and unusual home accessories including Asian vintage and antique pieces, as well as artfully crafted lines of furniture not found in the United States and more. Interior design service is available upon request.

“People should not have to compromise their health or that of their children in order to have beautiful and comfortable furnishings in their homes. I have made it my mission to make it easy for Bay Area home owners to have sophisticated, international style and low toxicity,” said Ms. Ramsden.

The showroom is open Thursday thru Sunday, 12:00 noon to 5:30 p.m. Other days and times are available by appointment. Cinnabar Home’s phone number is 650-388-8836. Cinnabar Home is online at, on Facebook at and on Twitter at!/cinnabarhome.
