The No. 1 way in which parents can help an obese child lose weight? Lose weight themselves.
Charleston, SC (PRWEB) March 24, 2012
A new study recently performed by Kerri N. Boutie, an associate professor of pediatrics and psychiatry at the University of California and Rady Children's Hospital - San Diego said 31% of U.S. children are overweight or obese. According to Kerri, "The No. 1 way in which parents can help an obese child lose weight? Lose weight themselves. In this study, it was the most important predictor of child weight loss." The tide is turning as parents are beginning to take responsibility for their own children, rather then rely on broken government programs.
Taylor Ryan, creator of The Art of Weight Lifting Fit Club for women (http://www.TheArtofWeightLifting.com), is discovering this is one of the top motivations her clients are joining her program. Most women that join The Art of Weight Lifting Fit Club have several motivations that push them to change their body. However, seeing the deteriorating health condition of their kids has lit a new fire that has never been there before. Successfully losing weight is now more than personal appearance. It's a fight for Mom's to inspire the next generation.
Taylor, a National Academy of Sports Medicine personal trainer and certified nutrition consultant has created a unique three pronged approach to weight loss. Her community helps Mom's, and all women, focus on:
-- Monthly workout plans consisting of two to three workout routines a week max.
-- Simple nutritional adjustments where a 20% change in a few ingredients produces an 80% drop in body fat results.
-- And finally a focus on empowering women's belief in themselves through a personal touch and motivation.
Because of her proven system, her "Mom" clients are now dropping inches of fat from their frame. They are also keeping it off and showing their children how exciting, lively and fun exercising and eating clean foods can be.
