Empathy Lab Joins the DECE – the Consortium Behind UltraViolet

Having worked with the DECE since 2008, Empathy Lab will now be an active participant in shaping the UltraViolet Service.

Empathy Lab, a fast growing digital media agency in the Philadelphia area, has joined the world's leading media and technology companies as a member of the Digital Entertainment Content Ecosystem (DECE), an alliance of approximately 85 companies, including many of the world's top movie studios, technology providers, consumer device makers, entertainment retailers and video service providers. The alliance has come together to create and operate UltraVioletTM, a groundbreaking open ecosystem that offers consumers a new and compelling way to collect and enjoy home video entertainment. Centered on a shared, cloud-based account, UltraViolet allows consumers to create personal virtual video libraries, with the freedom to access movies and TV shows through download, streaming or physical copy – both at home and on-the-go – across multiple devices.

Empathy Lab has worked with the DECE since 2008 in an interactive design agency capacity, and now, as a member organization, will be an active participant in shaping the UltraViolet service.
