Rassman, Vice President of Marketing for Community First Credit Union. “We believe the Community First Credit Union Hale & Hearty 7K is an ideal way to showcase our commitment to happy and healthy places in Northeast Florida while building awareness for our services.”

The Community First Credit Union Hale & Hearty 7K is in celebration of the Riverside/Avondale area as a healthy community committed to happy and healthy places. The Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida is hosting the inaugural Community First Credit Union Hale & Hearty 7K on June 2, 2012 at the Riverside Arts Market.

“We are honored to have the support from Community First Credit Union. Since our initial discussion with them, it was evident the leadership of the credit union placed a high value on quality of life and the impact of health on quality of life for the Northeast Florida region,” said Dawn Emerick, President & CEO of the Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida.

The naming rights agreement gives the Community First Credit Union exclusive naming right benefits that include a co-branded event logo, featured placement in all of the collateral materials, the opportunity to welcome the runners, the opportunity to have a booth at the race area at the Riverside Arts Market each week before the race and weekend of the race and Community First Credit Union of Florida will be the featured sponsor of the run’s text messaging campaign. The Hale & Hearty 7K features a text messaging campaign that will send the runners coupons at each mile marker from local Riverside/Avondale merchants.

Community First Credit Union will feature their partnership with the race in their member materials and marketing collateral.

The Health Planning Council developed a blogging site for the event, http://www.haleandhearty7k.com, featuring guest blogs by Nikki Kimbleton and Andy Zarka, co-owner of European Street, which has four locations in Jacksonville, who is an avid runner in the Riverside area and participates in many races. Nikki Kimbleton, news anchor with WJXT Channel 4, will begin blogging this month for the site as she trains for an upcoming charity walk in honor of her mother-in-law who recently passed away. The blogging site features information on the Riverside/Avondale area, the assets of healthy communities, and is regularly updated.
