The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), the state’s leading association dedicated to the promotion and economic advancement of Georgia’s technology industry, today announced Proximus Mobility, a hyperlocal proximity marketing software company, as one of the Top 10 Innovative Technology Companies in Georgia.

The coveted Top 10 Innovative Technology Company Awards recognize Georgia-based companies for their innovation, financial impact, and their efforts at spreading awareness of Georgia's technology initiatives throughout the U.S. and beyond. Each Top 10 company will present their innovation on-stage during the 2012 Georgia Technology Summit (GTS) on March 28, 2012, at the Cobb Galleria Centre.

“Proximus Mobility’s hyperlocal location based marketing solution is not only changing the marketing and advertising industry, but is also putting Georgia on the map as a state where technology innovation can thrive,” said Tino Mantella, president & CEO of TAG. “We applaud Proximus Mobility and the other companies for standing out as leaders in Georgia’s technology community and look forward to showcasing them at our annual Georgia Technology Summit.”

Co-founder and CEO of Proximus Mobility, Michael Zeto stated “We are excited and honored to be named a TAG Top 10 Innovative Technology Company. Proximus Mobility’s innovative, integrated proximity marketing software suite has changed how brands connect with their customers and continues to raise the standards of marketing intelligence. By creating a new marketing medium, hyperlocal mobile advertising, that reaches customers at the point of purchase, Proximus Mobility provides brands a new solution to capture robust consumer data and to increase customer loyalty.” This technology is also being integrated in out-of-home media environment to enhance digital advertising. “We look forward to continuing to grow and innovating in the state of Georgia,” continued Zeto.

“The competition for Top 10 recognition was particularly fierce this year,” said Dennis Zakas, a partner and founder of Zakas & Leonard, LLP, Chair of Group Office Buys, LLC, and chairperson of the Top 40 Selection Committee. “Proximus Mobility and the other top companies demonstrate the depth and breadth of Georgia’s technology community. We are pleased to recognize Proximus Mobility and the other group of companies and believe that the community will be just as impressed as we are by their innovation and impact on Georgia’s technology industry.”

“Proximus Mobility is a comprehensive hyperlocal proximity mobile marketing solution which not only delivers relevant ad content but also captures consumer behavior profiles that are important to brands,” stated Zeto. This very hyperlocal form of location based marketing provides a measureable ROI to the businesses that utilize it and takes mobile advertising to a new level of effectiveness. CEO Zeto continued, “We know that 70-90% of shoppers are using their mobile devices to look for coupons, read reviews and compare prices in the out-of-home environment. Recognizing this, we are providing an innovative solution that allows brands to engage customers at the point of purchase and provides marketers with valuable data such as traffic patterns, dwell times and shopping behavior profiles, empowering them to make more informed business decisions, growing their bottom line, building customer loyalty and completing the sales cycle.”
