Local Bromwich and Smith Trustee Gives Back to the Community as a Volunteer Lecturer on Debt Management at Momentum’s Financial Education Series

Shawn Stack, Trustee in Bankruptcy at Bromwich & Smith, is a regular guest lecturer at Momentum’s Financial Education Series, lending his expertise on debt management and restructuring as a way to give back to the Calgary community.

Stack has been a volunteer with Momentum, a community-based personal economic development organization in Calgary, for more than two years. Established more than 20 years ago, Momentum was created to help individuals and families build the assets required for Sustainable Livelihoods through a variety of financial literacy, business development and skills training programs.

“Providing the financial resources to help reduce poverty throughout the province and our country is critical in today’s world, and Momentum has become a major force in battling poverty throughout Alberta,” said Stack. “Being a part of Momentum’s efforts to support and nurture low income individuals and families to prosper and thrive financially is very rewarding.”

At Bromwich & Smith, Stack works as a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional, assisting both individuals and corporations dealing with financial hardship through formal restructuring options allowed by Canada’s bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. The 11-year industry veteran is a member of several Calgary-based professional associations, including the Calgary Professional Network, Calgary Business Network, and Calgary Accounting and Finance Network.
