North Brooklyn’s attraction to sustainable fashion is a trend that continues to be on the rise in the area, with many eco friendly stores and boutiques setting up shop. Now North Brooklyn just became greener with the inclusion of Browse & Pick’s Clothing Swap Tour. Browse & Pick is a company dedicated to hosting exciting fashion swaps for men, women, and children throughout New York City. They will be hosting their fashion swaps at various venues once a month.
Co Founders David and Ann Badillo are lifetime residents of the area. “We lived in North Brooklyn all our lives and have been amazed by its transformation, being green is something that is very important to the residents of this area,” said David Badillo. “We wanted to provide another fashionable alternative for our community that fits our lifestyle. Our fashion swaps can now be added to the growing sustainable fashion options available throughout the area.”
Browse & Pick currently has 3 tour types, Swap Rouge is for women, Swap-a-Coo is their children’s clothing swap, and coming in winter of 2013, they will expand by introducing their fashion swap for men, “Swap Fraternity” . Once a month they rent out a venue and host all of their swaps in a single day. Browse & Pick has a clear mission, by swapping at their tours, swappers will not only help make a positive impact on the environment, they will also enjoy the thrill of experiencing great savings and giving back to their community.
