Parma, Ohio: The William N. Skirball Writers Center Stage Series presented by the Cuyahoga County Public Library Foundation in partnership with Cleveland State University is pleased to present bestselling author Anne Lamott at the Ohio Theatre at PlayhouseSquare on Tuesday, April 17th at 7:30 p.m.
Anne Lamott is the author of seven novels including, Hard Laughter, Rosie, Joe Jones, Blue Shoe and Crooked Little Heart (the sequel to Rosie); as well as five bestselling nonfiction books including, Operating Instructions, an account of life as a single mother during her sons first year; Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Life, a guide to writing and the challenges of a writer’s life; Traveling Mercies, a collection of autobiographical essays on faith, and Plan B: Further Thoughts on Faith. Lamott’s last collection of essays is Grace (Eventually): Thoughts on Faith. Her new novel, entitled Imperfect Birds, was published in spring 2010.
The Writers Center Stage Series is the Cuyahoga County Public Library Foundation’s signature fundraiser. The funds raised by this series help support Cuyahoga County Public Library, the nation’s top-rated library system for three consecutive years.
