We've attracted more attention, and people are accessing our main website through our Facebook profile as well.
Mexican Insurance Store has found that the return on investment of participating in sites like Twitter and Facebook is well worth it. It does not require a lot of time or effort to remain active on those sites, and the amount of interest that they generate can be considerable. "We have one or two employees who go online and update our profiles and interact with people," says Gray. "We've been really tickled by how little work actually needs to be done to get results. Our customers have also reported that they appreciate the fact that we're on these sites."
Based on the exceptional success of its social media efforts, Mexican Insurance Store intends to keep them up throughout 2012. In fact, the company is thinking about boosting its social media activity even more. "If we can get these kinds of results with this little effort, there's no telling what we can achieve by being a little more active on sites like Twitter and Facebook," says one employee. "We're also investigating other popular social media sites." Although specific information about those sites has not yet been released, it's clear that Mexican Insurance Store has no intention of resting on its laurels. "We'll take this thing as far as it can go."
