Premium Verizon retailer opens new store, invests in the future of local economy

Our new store in the Savannah area is an example of our success in fulfilling our customers’ needs.

Cellular Sales, the nation’s largest Verizon premium wireless retailer recently announced the grand opening of a new store at 5729 Ogeechee Rd., in Savannah.

“Cellular Sales’ main goal is to provide the best customer service and make sure our customers are satisfied,” said Brian Snyder, regional director of Cellular Sales. “Our new store in the Savannah area is an example of our success in fulfilling our customers’ needs.”

Cellular Sales was founded in Knoxville, Tenn. 19 years ago and has, for the past four years, been named by Inc. Magazine one of the nation’s fastest growing privately-owned retailers. In 2011, Cellular Sales ranked among the nation’s 75 fastest growing retailers in the Inc. 5000. The company currently operates 34 retail locations in Georgia and nearly 500 stores across the U.S.

The new store opening has created eight new sales professional positions, all of which will be filled by local job-seekers.

According to Snyder, the wireless retail store’s opening will provide a boost to the local economy not only by the creation of new sales positions but also because Cellular Sales’ employees nationwide average over $51,000 a year, a sum higher than the U.S. median household income.

“Our company’s future is brighter than we could have ever hoped,” he said. “Each new store opening is validation that customers desire hands-on help and support.”
