Russian Tech Stars Relocate to San Francisco Tech Hot Spot in Preparation for US Launches

RocketSpace’s track record for cultivating the best entrepreneurial talent is the perfect environment for the Farminers startups to learn, and make the connections that lead to success.

Farminers, a Russia-based technology incubator backed by In-Mobile Investments, is bringing the members of its 2012 Startup Academy for technology startups to San Francisco’s RocketSpace to prepare for launch in the United States.

Chosen from thousands of Russian tech startups that applied to the Farminers Startup Academy, these companies are the leaders in Russian consumer-tech innovation. The principals of these companies will be immersed in the multi-cultural, entrepreneurial and highly innovative atmosphere of RocketSpace, a “techcelerator” whose alumni include Zappos, Uber and PocketGems.

“RocketSpace has a history of embracing entrepreneurs from global tech companies, and the partnership with Farminers enables us to engage with the best Russian tech startups,” said Duncan Logan, chief executive officer of RocketSpace. “We pride ourselves in cultivating exceptional companies, and we are excited to add these amazing Russian companies to a selective international roster that includes companies from Spain, Canada, and the Czech Republic.”

While at RocketSpace, Russian tech companies will take full advantage of its unique ecosystem of diverse companies focused around tech and will engage with other emerging companies, forming the contacts and building the networks that are vital for their success as they launch in the United States.

"Introducing our Russian tech talent to the Bay Area startup experience is critical to their growth and success, and this partnership is instrumental in doing this in the best possible environment," said Igor Matsanyuk, founder of In-Mobile Investments and Farminers. “RocketSpace’s track record for cultivating the best entrepreneurial talent is the perfect environment for the Farminers startups to learn, and make the connections that lead to success.“

The companies participating in the partnership with RocketSpace are currently under review and will be selected in the coming month. The chosen companies will arrive in the United States during the second quarter of 2012 and remain through the end of the year as they prepare and launch their companies in the United States.
