IBA Launches Smartphone Crisis App to Help Companies, Schools, and Government Better Prepare For Emergencies

In Case of Crisis is the premiere crisis communications tool that makes it easier for companies, schools and government to better prepare for emergencies. The app works by allowing users to convert printed crisis plans into readily available mobile applications that employees, staff, students, and stakeholders can use to access crisis information at anytime.

Irving Burton Associates (IBA), a leading software and mobile apps developer, today announced the launch of its newest smartphone app, In Case of Crisis, which is currently available in the Apple App Store.

In Case of Crisis is the premiere crisis communications tool that makes it easier for companies, schools and government to better prepare for emergencies. The app works by allowing users to convert printed crisis plans into readily available mobile applications that employees, staff, students, and stakeholders can use to access crisis information at anytime.

There are currently three versions of the In Case of Crisis app on the market. There is a version for corporate, education and government organizations.

“We’re excited about In Case of Crisis. We’ve been testing our app for the last three months internally and externally. The feedback we are receiving is amazing” said IBA Chief Technology Officer, Ray Baldwin.

Live demonstrations of In Case of Crisis will take place during the upcoming Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Talent Management Conference and Exposition which will take place April 30 – May 2, 2012 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center located at National Harbor, Maryland. Follow-up demos will be performed at the SHRM Annual Conference which takes place June 24-27, 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia.

To get the app, organizations can sign up at http://www.incaseofcrisis.com, upload their crisis plan and then direct users to download the app for free in the Apple App Store. The app is currently available for Apple products, but an Android version of the app is expected to be released in late spring.
