Bridgeport, CT (PRWEB) March 30, 2012
“It’s with the deepest regrets to see one of the founders part ways because of directional change,” said Kingsley Osei, the Founder of Connecticut Against Violence (CAV).
LT David Daniels, an officer of the Community Division for Bridgeport Police Department, has helped with the movement. He was able to help the Hip-Hop community and Law Enforcement understand how to stop violence within our community. CAV wishes David Daniels great success with his ventures in saving children within his community.
As CAV moves forward in making a difference. However, their main objective is to create an organization like no other. The CAV's mission is to develop programs, maximize like-minded individuals for success, and help other organizations reach the youth on their terms. CAV's ultimate goal is to continue to be a medium that helps to provide outlets for children and stop the violence.
As the Bridgeport Summit is just around the corner, on May 2012, at the Housatonic Community College. Over 1,500 youth will be in attendance. Our focus is to provide a forum that should start a history of greatness for the youth of Bridgeport. Thanks to Mayor Bill Finch's office and former Resident NBA Player, Mr. Charles Smith, for assisting CAV in major ways with past and future programs.
“Things you do as a leader is based on one audacious assumption. It’s the assumption that you Matter. It’s important before one leads you can provide a positive impact to others. Leadership begins with you,” said Kingsely Osei. With that said, Mr.Osei's only focus is that CAV keeps a positive energy and keep finding ways that reward our children that will one day become leaders. As CAV releases programs and organize trips for the youth. You can visit our website, community forums, social and traditional outlets for updates.
CAV would like to thank Original Works Inc Music School & Webster Arena, Longe Magazine, Vase Construction, WZMX Hot 93.7, Bridgeport Police Department, Board of Education, Housatonic community college, JT Landscaping, It Takes A Promise (ITAP), Transitional Development And Training (TDAT), Housing Authority City of Bridgeport and all of supporter for their timeless contributions while we get CAV to a national status.
