I hope this is the first infographic of many, and that we're able to get better and better. Being able to produce the infographics in-house helps us significantly reduce spend. - Thomas Key

According to an article by The New York Times, approximately 10,000 people in the United States turn 65 everyday. As more and more baby boomers approach retirement, they are beginning to see that, sometimes, life can be just beginning at 55! Homesecurityteam.com turned that idea into an infographic.
The infographic also marked the first time that homesecurityteam.com used internal resources to produce viral media. Using an in-house employee with Photoshop experience and an in-house writer, the team produced the entire infographic.
"The process took a little longer than we expected," said Thomas Key, the graphic designer behind the infographic, "but seeing the finished product was awesome. I hope this is the first of many, and that we are able to get better and better. Being able to produce the infographics in-house helps us significantly reduce spend."
The full infographic and accompanying blog post took the creative team roughly 2 months to complete. It weaves through life after 55 where readers have to decide if they will retire early, or keep working. It then gives them facts about the aging population, while keeping an up beat vibe.
