California Estate Planning and Probate Attorney to Speak at San Mateo County Bar Association on Fiduciary Accountings

CA attorney Walter Shjeflo of the estate planning, probate, and wills law firm of Fox, Shjeflo, Hartley & Babu LLP has been invited to speak to the San Mateo County Bar Association Estate Planning Section regarding fiduciary accountings

I am honored to have the opportunity to address my fellow practitioners on this topic. It is important that we all keep abreast of how accounting can be used to further our clients’ best interests.

California estate planning & probate attorney Walter E. Shjeflo, partner in the San Mateo law firm of Fox, Shjeflo, Hartley & Babu LLP has been invited to speak to the San Mateo County Bar Association on April 19, 2012. The event, entitled, “Estate Planning/Probate – The Power of Love (And An Accounting)" is part of the Bar Association’s Estate Planning/Probate/Elder Law Section. It will be held from 12:30 – 1:30 pm at the San Mateo Elks Lodge.

Walter Shjeflo graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (B.S., 1974) and Hastings College of Law, University of California (J.D., 1977). He is admitted to practice in all state courts in California as well as before the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California; U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Texas; U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit; and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. Mr. Shjeflo is a member of the State Bar of California (Member, Business Litigation, Real Estate, Trusts and Estates, and Appellate Sections), the San Mateo County Bar Association and serves as a Judge Pro Tempore, Arbitrator, and Mediator.

In addition to his extensive experience as an attorney, Mr. Shjeflo chaired the Estate Planning Section of the San Mateo Bar for ten years. He is also a past president of the Silicon Valley Bar Association.
