The City of Sunny Isles Beach, Cultural and Human Services Department is excited to announce our calendar of events for April, where everyone is sure to find something to enjoy.
On Thursday, April 5th, join us at Town Center Park to watch the musical performances of students from Alonzo & Tracy Mourning High School. Guests will enjoy repertoire from the school Chorus, Jazz Band, and Symphonic Band. Food will be available for purchase from Kiwanis of Northeast Dade County. This event is from 7:30pm – 9:00pm, at Town Center Park (17200 Collins Avenue).
On Saturday, April 7th, children and adults alike will delight in the return of the City’s Annual Egg Scramble, where children ages 12 and under will scramble through 5,000 beach balls to gather their treats. Egg hunt will take place promptly at 10:00am. Other activities will include carnival rides, games, arts & crafts, and a photo opportunity with Mr. & Mrs. Spring Bunny. This event will take place from 10am – 2:00pm, at Pelican Community Park (18115 North Bay Road).
On Sunday, April 15th, Beethoven lovers will sit in awe as Orchestra Miami will perform for residents and guests of Sunny Isles Beach. Program will include Lee Hoiby’s “I Have a Dream” and Beethoven’s “5th Symphony.” Educational activities will be ongoing throughout the event; local artists will have artwork on display, available for purchase. This event will take place from 6:30pm – 8:00pm, at Heritage Park (19200 Collins Avenue).
We will close out the month with our next installment of the Sunny Serenade Series, on Wednesday, April 25th, with “Brazilian Explosion”. Brazilian-style food and drinks will be available for purchase by Rio Samba grill. This event will take place from 7:30pm – 9:00pm, at Samson Oceanfront Park (17425 Collins Avenue).
