(PRWEB UK) 29 March 2012
Leading water cooler supplier Angel Springs has become the official water supplier for the Wolverhampton Marathon 2012 - and will provide 22,000 bottles of water for runners on the day.
The firm will provide thousands of 500ml water bottles to help hydrate runners in the Marathon, which takes place on Sunday, September 2.
Previous years have seen up to 2,500 people taking part. Around 3,000 people are expected in West Park, Wolverhampton, on the day.
The Marathon has several high-profile sponsors, including Carvers, Marstons, Greggs, Nuffield Health and Wolverhampton City Council, and will raise cash for Wolverhampton Community Trust, St John’s Ambulance, Penn Hall School and Wolverhampton’s Mayoral charities.
Angel Springs is committed to supporting local fundraising efforts: it is involved with several good causes, including Compton House Hospice, and it runs the Angels in the Community scheme to provide support and funding for local charities.
“Angel Springs is delighted to be providing water for all the runners in this year’s Wolverhampton Marathon,” said John Murphy, commercial director.
“Staying hydrated is crucial during an endurance event like a marathon – so we’ll be providing more than 20,000 bottles of water so runners won’t dehydrate.
“We’re committed to working closely with local fundraising events like this, and we’d like to wish every runner the best of luck for the marathon in September.”
