Darlington-based Fifteen Digital has joined the panel of Teesside University Business School’s new marketing resource, Bolder Marketing, to provide students with insights into the latest developments of the marketing world.
Fifteen Digital’s managing director John Borthwick was chosen to be a panel member, along with various other marketing experts, due to his vast experience and background within the industry.
Being on the panel means that John will be able to submit insightful articles used for teaching and leading discussions. He will also be on hand to answer any questions raised as a result of his input.
It is hoped that due to his experience within a marketing agency, John will be able to bring a very different perspective to Bolder Marketing.
He said: “I’m really happy to be a part of Bolder Marketing as it’s an excellent way of motivating students and aiding them in becoming a great asset for their future employers.
“Working in online marketing means that we have to keep on top of the latest trends and technologies, and it will be great to pass on this knowledge and experience to others who share an interest in – and passion for – the industry.”
Bolder Marketing was created by David Norris, principal lecturer in marketing in the University’s Business School, to provide a way of encouraging students to delve deeper into their subjects and interact with lecturers and industry experts.
It has already received a good following since its launch and has proven to be an effective platform through which business students can research information relevant to their modules.
David said: “I’m really pleased with the success of Bolder Marketing so far. The website has been hugely popular among the students and has received lots of web traffic from external users, too.
“We have an employability agenda with our students; we aim to make them as future-proof as possible by providing them with the most up-to-date knowledge and encouraging them to engage with all aspects of their modules. We’re confident that input from Fifteen Digital and other experts will allow us to achieve this, while also enhancing our students’ learning experiences at the same time.”
Fifteen Digital delivers services in web design, online marketing and e-commerce from its offices in Darlington and Stoke.
