The law firm of Wharton Aldhizer & Weaver PLC is pleased to announce that Matthew Von Schuch has joined the firm.

Matthew Von Schuch works in the litigation practice group with a focus in civil litigation. Mr. Von Schuch received his undergraduate degree from James Madison University and his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He also attended Wake Forest University School of Law as a visiting student. He is admitted to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia.

Prior to becoming associated with the firm, Mr. Von Schuch tried matters in the Federal District Court and bankruptcy courts through his work at the United States Department of Justice. He was the lead counsel on a variety of cases, including fraudulent transfer, interpleader, trust fund recovery penalty, tax refund, and bankruptcy cases. Mr. Von Schuch also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia where he prosecuted a variety of felony and misdemeanor offenses.
