Car Insurance is a legal requirement in the UK for any cars that are going to be on the road. For many drivers this can be an irritating but necessary expense that drives up the cost of owning a car, and teamed with the price of fuel and regular MOTs and maintenance it can be a real drain on the household finances. Thankfully there are many great deals out there for car insurance as long as they can be found.
A new car insurance comparison site - http://www.carinsurance.co.uk, launching in April this year, is dedicated to helping drivers to bring down the costs of owning a vehicle, keeping them financially safe and making sure they comply with the legal requirements regarding insurance.
David Morris, Marketing Director of the website stated “On the site drivers will be able to compare the best deals for their personal situation and find a rate which covers their car completely should they get into an accident. With the right insurance they shouldn’t even find that the expense makes much of an impact on their monthly outgoings at all.
There are three types of car insurance which increase in price and protection. The lowest amount of protection drivers can legally have is third party insurance. This protects the other party in case of an accident and will pay for any damage sustained by the vehicle or driver if the accident was your fault. Third Party insurance is the cheapest type of insurance you can get but does not help to pay for any damage done to the drivers car, meaning if the accident was the drivers fault then they may find themselves with a hefty bill for repairs as well as a fine.
The second type of insurance is Fire and Theft, which covers drivers not only for third party damage, but also for any damage caused to their vehicle should it be broken into or suffer any other damage outside of an accident. This is slightly more expensive than third party insurance but takes a little more worry away from the driver, knowing that their car is protected when they are not with it. Finally, drivers can look into Fully Comprehensive car insurance, which covers third party, fire and theft, and their own car should they get into an accident. This is the most expensive type of insurance a driver can get but does put their mind at rest should they have an accident, whether it is their fault or not. Fully comprehensive insurance will put money towards the repair of their car, or if this is not possible, towards the cost of a new car.
Drivers can also get add ons to all three types of insurance which cover anything inside the vehicle (something which is very helpful should drivers use their car for business purposes), and even insurance which will provide them with a hire car during the period that their car is being repaired.
Drivers may be able to get cheaper car insurance as an older driver with a long no claims history, but if this is not the case there are still great deals out there from a number of different companies and our new comparison site aims to help drivers find these deals, and refer them to the right company to obtain these cheap car insurance deals quickly and simply.
The new site is dedicated to making the insurance process easy for drivers, and helping them to enjoy your car without fear of financial difficulty if they get into trouble.”
