United for a Free Syria (UFS) invites those who are interested to attend today's U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) teleconference session, during which the Office of Public Engagement will be sharing details and accepting questions related to the designation of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to Syrian nationals.
U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano announced that TPS will be extended to eligible Syrian nationals as of March 29, 2012. Please join USCIS officials in a discussion about TPS and other relief measures available to Syrian nationals in the United States on Thursday, March 29 from 4:00-5:00 pm (Eastern).
While the participation of all interested stakeholders is welcome, the DHS is particularly interested in hearing from those who engage frequently with the Syrian community in the United States in order to share information about the TPS registration process and respond to questions or concerns.
