Bike Touring and Bike Travel Seminars Planned for Giant Milwaukee Bike Sale and Expo April 5-8
This seminar is presented by the Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s David Spiegelberg, a long-time resident of Lake Geneva who enjoys the many road biking and mountain biking opportunities that exists in the area and elsewhere in the state.

Spring is around the corner, so this is the time to prepare for the cycling season. Wheel & Sprocket, the premier chain of Metro Milwaukee bicycle shops, is helping cyclists make the most of the warmer weather by bringing together cycling groups, teams and clubs at the 28th Annual Bike Expo, held April 5-8 at the Wisconsin State Fair Park.
The Expo will draw a crowd of 11,000 cyclists, host dozens of cycling organizations from around the Midwest, and feature thousands of bike products and over 2,000 assembled bikes for sale. It also includes 50 free cycling seminars covering topics that include bike touring and travel opportunities, not only in Wisconsin, but all over the world.

WHAT WISCONSIN OFFERS TO CYCLISTS
This seminar is presented by the Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s David Spiegelberg, a long-time resident of Lake Geneva who enjoys the many road biking and mountain biking opportunities that exists in the area and elsewhere in the state.
Spiegelberg is a Regional Tourism Specialist at the Wisconsin Department of Tourism. His eighteen-year tenure with the agency includes management of an official travel information office, coordination of the agency’s consumer travel show program, and acting as industry liaison between the Department of Tourism and the tourism industry in southeastern Wisconsin. He currently represents the Department of Tourism on the Governor’s Bike Council
CYCLING VACATIONS OF A LIFETIME
This seminar is presented by Trek Travel, which offers bicycle trips to destinations around the world including France, Italy, Spain, North America and Asia-Pacific.
BIKE WISCONSIN AND BEYOND
Come along with Eric and Kathy Schramm on a bike adventure. Explore the unique sites and quiet back roads of Wisconsin, and get a taste of great biking in France and Hawaii. Eric and Kathy will discuss trips for people of all ages and abilities.
BIKE PACKING
Salsa lives and breathes "Adventure By Bike." In this seminar, Salsa reps and outdoor product reps will team up to break down the essentials of bike packing and touring.
MULTI-DAY SELF-CONTAINED TRIPS
The Cream City Cycle Club is an all-volunteer organization that began so area bicycling enthusiasts could share the pleasure and the joy of bicycling. Their weekend rides are the hub around which other club activities revolve, such as their monthly meetings, camping rides, picnics and the annual Cream City Cycle Club Century Classic, which is fun for everyone. Harriet Pfersch and Mark Steckhahn, the presenters of this seminar, are long-time members of Cream City Cycle Club.

- April 7 (Saturday) from 9 am to 6 pm
