Carl Dorvil, President/CEO, announced Group Excellence is launching a new branding campaign this month. Group Excellence made Inc. Magazine’s 2011 list of the 500 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S.

“As #450 on the 2011 “Inc. 500” list, out of 7 million private employee-based firms in America, we were so pleased to be a part of this prestigious list. Our launch this month of a new branding campaign, which includes a new logo, focused vision, and website, is further proof that our mission is continuing to grow stronger every year. Group Excellence was the only tutoring or K-12 education related company on the Inc. 500 list. We’re proud of the number of people we now employ, and our cost-per-job-created ratio. As we help build leaders through our mentoring and tutoring programs, we also are striving to generate new employment opportunities in the communities we serve. We’ve made that a priority for 2012.”

Group Excellence works with schools to mentor and tutor students outside of, or during school hours, whichever suits each school. “We collaborate,” said Dorvil. “We consult with administrators and faculty to determine the best avenue for providing mentoring and instruction, and which students to target. We also use our proprietary system called EZ Attendance to provide tracking and data reporting. And Group Excellence tutors share a crucial advantage. They are all either college students or young professionals. And each has a passion that ignites something in the students they teach and mentor.”

Group Excellence has the numbers to show their methods work. The TAKS math score at Reinhardt Elementary School showed a 42-point average improvement after students were tutored by Group Excellence. There was a 137% increase in Commended students at E. B. Comstock Middle School after math tutoring by Group Excellence.

The Carrollton/Farmers Branch CAN! Academy achieved a 22% increase in just one year in 10th grade students meeting standard on all TAKS subjects and 85% of students at W.W. Samuell High School achieved TAKS match raw-score gains of 10% or more – with an average raw-score gain of 21%. “The mix of methods – both high impact direct instruction and self-paced digital media – has proven extremely effective for our students. The pedagogical basis of instruction and direct alignment to our state standards are highlights of their service,” said Clyde Pikes, Community Liaison, W.W. Samuell High School.

“As we go forward into 2012, we are excited to introduce our new branding campaign. We feel it does an exceptional job of communicating the essence of who we are and what we do. Children + education = America’s future. Group Excellence pledges to continue to be a vital component in that equation,” said Dorvil.
