It is ... a major fiesta--the Mexican St. Patty's Day.
New York, NY (PRWEB) March 31, 2012
In Mexico, El Dia de la Batalla de Puebla is a minor holiday, observed mostly in the state of Puebla. However, in America, and especially Nueva York, this day has become a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride. It is also a major fiesta--the Mexican St. Patty's Day.
At Crema Restaurante, Chef Julieta Ballesteros will be serving a Poblano favorite: chiles en nogada. This dish is a Poblano pepper stuffed with beef and pork picadillo and topped with a creamy sauce and pomegranate seeds.
To keep the festivities lively, Crema will be offering drink specials all day: including banderitas. This traditional drink is designed to resemble the Mexican flag. It is one shot of tequila (the white part), one shot of lime juice (the green part), and one shot of sangrita (the red part). Crema will also be serving other drink specials and have an extended happy hour that day.
Crema is located at 111 West 17th Street, in Chelsea in Manhattan. The celebration will be May 5, 2012 from 11:30 am to midnight.
