WHAT: Sterling Raphael, president of AvectraLabs, the innovation think tank of Avectra, a leading developer of web-based Social CRM solutions for associations and not-for-profits, will be a featured presenter at the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) 2012 Vancouver conference, taking place April 1-3 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
AFP represents more than 30,000 members in 229 chapters throughout the world, working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs. The association fosters development and growth of fundraising professionals and promotes high ethical standards in the fundraising profession.
The AFP 2012 Vancouver conference is a three-day event that allows fundraising professionals to come together and learn best practices and strategies that work. WHO: Sterling Raphael, president of AvectraLabs: A veteran public speaker, Sterling will give two presentations at the event: “A New Era in Fundraising: Expectations Changed by Innovation” will be delivered twice, first on April 1 at 12:15 p.m. and the second at the same time on April 2. Both presentations will take place in the Buzz Theater at the Vancouver Convention Center. Session attendees will learn how to:
- Make their organizations stand out amongst the crowd and keep up with donor expectations
- Leverage Social CRM to adapt to a new era in donor expectations
- Utilize external social media monitoring, CRM Integration, online communities, member scoring and more
In addition to the speeches, Sterling will lead an education session entitled, “Social CRM is Really About Strategy, Not Tools” that will take place April 2 at 8 a.m. at the Vancouver Convention Center’s room 215-216. Attendees to the session will discover:

- How they can advance their social CRM initiatives from beginner to expert
