Plastic Surgery Consulting Service Debuts in San Francisco

The Nip Tuck Coach is part mentor, part matchmaker, part resource library and part girlfriend when it comes to cosmetic surgery.

Garber says, “By seeking the guidance and advice from a confidential cosmetic consultant, clients will be better educated on their choices and will have the confidence and knowledge they need to make the right decisions.”

The Nip Tuck Coach, an independent plastic surgery procedure consulting service, recently made its debut in San Francisco.

In California, yoga gurus, vegan consultants and pet psychics are commonplace. So it’s hard to believe that a cosmetic surgery coach is a relatively new concept. But founder and owner Michele Garber says that would-be cosmetic surgery patients in the Bay Area are often forced to navigate the confusing world of aesthetic medicine on their own. This is why Garber launched The Nip Tuck Coach.

“Michele is offering a very useful service,” says San Francisco plastic surgeon Dr. Roy Kim. “I encourage my patients to have a solid support system in place before, during and after surgery. But in reality, that’s just not always possible. It’s good to know there is a service available in the Bay Area, providing important resources, which leads to happier patients.”

“Today’s cosmetic surgery patients have so much think about,” Garber says. “From knowing what to ask during a consultation and choosing the appropriate procedures to finding the best surgeons and arranging for post-surgical care and services - it can be overwhelming. I started The Nip Tuck Coach to handle all those details and to be both an advisor and a shoulder for my clients.”

Cosmetic treatments continue to increase in popularity with more options than ever before, especially when it comes to non-invasive procedures such as Botox, dermal fillers, skin tightening, and laser treatments.

“So many people are interested in feeling and looking better but just wish they didn’t have to spend so much time sorting out the details,” Garber says. “We routinely enlist the help of consultants in our home decorating, estate planning or exercise training. Why not do the same for our faces and bodies?”

The Nip Tuck Coach maintains a large database of providers’ credentials, certifications and specialties and can provide clients with a sort of modern day medical matchmaking service while operating independently from physicians or facilities.

Consultations can include everything from education on surgical procedures and available non-surgical treatments to pre-surgery skin care product and treatment recommendations. Garber provides one-on-one coaching for in-office surgical consultations, recommendations for post-surgical recovery options, assistance with travel arrangements, post-operative care, and of course, cheer leading and moral support.

Steve from Oakland is a recent Nip Tuck Coach client and says, “It is an overwhelming proposition to find someone who is reputable and trustworthy. Michele removes all the guesswork from the equation and walks the person through the process so he/she knows the most up to date and pertinent information. I am so thankful for her help and guidance.”

Garber says, “By seeking the guidance and advice from a confidential consultant, clients will be better educated on their choices and will have the confidence and knowledge they need to make the right decisions.”
