Reports of the death of the software testing industry have been greatly exaggerated, so I will be looking at how testing professionals can prepare themselves for the future.
London, UK (PRWEB UK) 2 April 2012
SQS Software Quality Systems, the world’s leading specialist in software quality, today announced its presence as an exhibitor and platinum sponsor at the 2012 Quality Engineered Software and Testing Conference (QUEST) in Chicago, IL, on 30th April – 4th May 2012.
To set a meeting with SQS at QUEST 2012, please contact Suresh Pabba on +1 630-596-6001 or visit SQS at Booth 3 and via http://www.sqs.com.
Nick Pointon, Head of Test Centre Operations (India & Egypt), will be speaking at QUEST 2012 on the future of software testing. His keynote presentation, entitled ‘Whatever next? The future of software testing in 2012 and beyond…’, takes a look at how the IT industry is changing and what testers need to do in order to adapt to safeguarding and enhancing their careers.
Nick will be drawing on his own personal experience of the testing industry from Europe, Africa, North America and Asia, including his 4 years living and working in India, to examine recent research from Gartner, Ovum and others about software testing. His keynote address takes place on Thursday 3rd May at 08:30 – 09:25.
“I intend to highlight the impact globalisation and new technologies have had on the software testing and quality assurance marketplace,” Nick comments. “But reports of the death of the software testing industry have been greatly exaggerated, so I will also be looking at how testing professionals can prepare themselves for the future, adapt to changes as they occur and succeed in an increasingly commoditised industry. Anyone attending my keynote address will walk away with three essential learning points; where the industry is going over the next two to five years, what impact this will have globally and what testing professionals should be aware of, and can do, to further their careers.”
SQS will also be presenting its unique offerings like Test Automation FaQtory and Managed Testing Services at Booth 3, where the software quality specialist’s team will be on hand to provide businesses with the key information necessary when deciding on a Test Automation FaQtory or Managed Services partner for testing.
With over 5,000 completed projects, SQS also secured 62 million euros worth of Managed Services contracts in 2011. Representing more than 30 per cent of the company's annual sales, the Managed Services business wins included SQS’ largest ever new contract, with a value in excess of 20 million euros.
SQS offers a range of fully managed services, designed to free in-house testing teams to concentrate on business critical testing issues or to operate where skills do not exist within the corporate testing team.
QUEST 2012 provides a week of classes, tutorials, educational sessions, hands-on workshops, discussion groups and networking events for quality and testing professionals around the world. QUEST’s unique learning opportunities address topics of highest interest to practitioners in their quest to build today’s skills and prepare for the quality and testing profession of the future.
