SYNC and MyFord Touch have so much to offer, customers love having the personalized instruction and assistance that we give in our SYNC orientation sessions.

Don Gasgarth and Charlotte County Ford’s passionate interest in helping Florida drivers is offering ongoing orientation and training sessions on Ford SYNC and MyFord Touch. Classes are provided at no cost to all customers and non customers alike. Instruction covers setting up the system, making and receiving calls, connecting your media player, working the controls, and getting help. Sessions are free to the public.

In 2011, three million new Ford SYNC owners have this exciting technology. Ford SYNC provides detailed driving directions, a choice of music and hands free phone calling - all run by voice command in a car, truck or SUV.

“Getting the system set up so that it works with your phone and media devices …and feeling comfortable using all the features that SYNC offers … has many people looking for help,” says Don Gasgarth of Don Gasgarth’s Charlotte County Ford dealership. “That’s why we’ve developed a friendly, easy-to-understand, simple orientation and training session for anyone who is interested.”

Ford SYNC automatically and wirelessly connects a mobile phone and media devices to a vehicle’s system, giving access to real time data – contacts, phone numbers and texting. The companion technology, MyFord Touch, provides a colorful display of controls for features such as personalized traffic reports, weather conditions, and precise driving directions. It also provides up-to-date information with business listings, news and sports. It gives a Vehicle Health Report identifying such things as transmission problems, low oil pressure and vehicle recalls.

“SYNC and MyFord Touch have so much to offer, customers love having the personalized instruction and assistance that we give in our SYNC orientation sessions,” says Gasgarth. “And best of all, anyone can come, whether you’ve bought the vehicle from us or not. It’s all free! We’re just happy to help because we’re excited about this technology … and how it increases safety, protection and convenience for Florida drivers.”

“We’ve got an excellent trainer who explains things simply, answers questions patiently and is passionate about helping folks with little or no technology experience,” continues Gasgarth. “He loves doing these sessions and getting people comfortable with these state-of-the-art tools.”
