First Virtualization and Cloud Workshop of the series to be held in Austin, TX, July 23-25, 2012. Industry expert presenters include: Edward Haletky, Dave McCrory, Scott Lowe, Cody Bunch and Thomas Bryant.

vScience, LLC (http://www.vsciencellc.com), today announced the kick-off of its new workshop and conference series focused on intense technical training for IT professionals currently working with virtualization and cloud computing environments. Created by Edward Haletky, a co-founder of The Virtualization Practice (http://www.virtualizationpractice.com), the vScience conference series will be offered in attractive destination cities around the world, starting with its debut conference in Austin, Texas July 23 – July 25 at the Austin Convention Center.

“vScience is the place to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty with the most exciting virtualization and cloud technologies available today,” said Edward Haletky. “I’m thrilled to launch this series and believe it serves a growing need - achieving technical proficiency and mastery of these complex technologies in order to propel them into real-world organizational settings.”

vScience events are ideal for professional computer programmers, developers, architects and administrators currently involved in virtualization and cloud environments. vScience fills the virtualization training gap currently not being addressed by other venues, by providing a classroom-style setting with hands-on labs and interactive training, taught by leading experts in the field.

Each conference accepts only 300 attendees per event and engages the audience in designing a real-world implementation. Conferences are vendor-neutral so attendees have the opportunity to work with a variety of virtualization and cloud technologies including; security, storage, servers and networks, as well as common computing models such as hybrid cloud and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS).

vScience is the first industry conference to include the audience in a group-wide “live-design” exercise that works to solve in real-time, a complex virtualization problem. The live-design activity leverages all technical aspects of the 3-day workshop in order to produce a “real-world” working virtualization implementation design that will then be made publically available.

In just 3 days, attendees will achieve the following accomplishments and benefits;

  •     Designing and building a practical, real-world implementation using today’s cutting-edge technologies,
  •     Implementing and integrating implementation designs into current IT environments,
  •     Receiving award-type recognition for audience participation and key accomplishments throughout the workshop,
  •     Access to a video library encompassing workshop presentations, training and design implementation

Workshop and Conference Locations
On an on-going basis, vScience will offer workshops and conferences around the nation and world including cities such as Austin, TX; Arlington (Crystal City), VA; Denver, CO; Boston, MA; Honolulu, HI; Amsterdam, The Netherlands; and London, UK. Exact dates to be announced.
