Saval Foods 80th Anniversary

80 Acts of Kindness

In 1932, during the great depression, Harry Saval started distributing and processing deli products to Baltimore’s delis. Now, a full line distributor of food and non-food products to the Mid-Atlantic region’s restaurants, Saval Foodservice employees are celebrating its 80th Year in business by giving back to the community it serves through its 80 Acts of Kindness initiative.
While Saval’s owners and employees have been actively engaged in community giving and volunteerism for many years, this year Saval has partnered up with Business Volunteers of Maryland to foster this sense of giving among all of its people. Business Volunteers will be organizing group volunteer opportunities while Saval’s People Department will be internally recognizing those who give back. In addition, Saval’s executive team will move towards 100% involvement on local non-profit Boards of Directors. Already this year, Saval’s employees have actively participated in over 60 volunteer activities. So, Saval’s 80 Acts of Kindness may turn into much, much more.
Saval Foodservice is a distributor of food and non-food products to the restaurant trade based in Elkridge, Maryland. It is the largest full line independent distributor based in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area serving Mid-Atlantic restaurants from Philadelphia to Roanoke.
