Albany, NY (PRWEB) April 04, 2012
Voice Coaches Radio, a weekly informational and motivational voice over podcast co-hosted by veteran voice actors Warren Garling and Mike Spring, received a Silver ADDY award from the Albany Ad Club at ceremonies held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy, NY, on the evening of March 16. Almost 200 advertising professionals attended the 39th annual awards ceremony, a part of the national American Advertising Federation (AAF) ADDY Awards competition.
David Bourgeois, president and creative director of Voice Coaches, the leading one-on-one voice acting training company in the United States, says the local award is just the first stop in the competition. “The next stop for this Voice Coaches Radio episode is the regional competition scheduled for New York City this spring,” reports Bourgeois.
Garling is the Director of Marketing and a producer for Voice Coaches and has more than 40 years of voice acting and broadcasting experience, doing work for Clear Channel Media & Entertainment, McGraw-Hill Publishing, Papa John’s Pizza and others. Spring, Director of Communications for the company, has both on-camera and voice acting experience for companies including American Airlines, Disney, The Washington Post, and Universal Studios. He is also the producer of the popular podcast, now in its third year.
Together, the duo banters weekly about topics as diverse as new sources of opportunities for Voice Actors to rejecting rejection. The duo also interviews professionals finding early success in the business; veteran voice actors who have had national success in commercials, animated features, and audio books; as well as voice acting experts.
