Fathom Columbus announces four new employees and upcoming online marketing events and webinars. Fathom Columbus continues to demonstrate its expertise with impressive client retention and growth, new employees and an exciting lineup of spring events.
In January, Fathom Columbus welcomed two new additions to its team. Tina Goodman joined the account management team at Fathom Columbus. Goodman was the founder of Vivian’s Voice, a company that works with clients on the creation and shaping of their brand voice, both on- and offline. Goodman has a degree from The Ohio State University in sociology and a Masters in Marketing and Communications from Franklin University.

Caitlin Edwards was hired as Fathom Columbus’s Online Marketing Coordinator after graduating with a degree in public relations from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Edwards previously interned with the company starting in October 2011.
“I was getting great experience and learning a lot as an intern,” Edwards said. “I was excited to stay at Fathom because I not only liked the work that I was doing, but had also come to really like the people that I work with.”
Most recently, Fathom Columbus brought on Online Community Specialist Lauren Coker and SEO Specialist Kylie Hammons. Coker came to Fathom from Bruner Corporation where she was responsible for a wide range of marketing activities. Coker has a degree from The Ohio State University and is pursuing an MBA in Social Media Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University. Hammons most recently worked at Max-Wellness, a start-up out of Cleveland, Ohio, where she served as the marketing specialist. Hammons has a degree from Otterbein University in public relations.
“I look forward to working with Fathom’s experienced online marketing team,” Hammons said, “and to building successful online marketing and SEO strategies for our clients.”
Fathom Columbus continues to be a thought leader in the areas of social media marketing and search engine optimization and actively involved in the local and national Internet marketing communities. So far this year members of the Fathom Columbus team have shared their experise at various industry events and will continue to do so throughout the course of the spring and the remainder of 2012.
Fathom Columbus made an appearance at the Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives Marketing, Member Service and Communications Association Spring Conference on March 22. Tommy Redmond, SEO Manager, spoke to conference attendees on “How to Make Your Website Distinctive” and how design and functionality play a role, as well as the challenges encountered along the way.
On March 28, Fathom Columbus President Bill Balderaz spoke at the CSCA event “Connecting in Cleveland.” Balderaz joined the panel speaking about using social media to “Connect” in PR Campaigns – “Using Social media to ‘Unite’ our Clients with Target Publics.”
Fathom Columbus COO Amy Marshall will appear at Ohio Weslyan University on April 5 to discuss with attendees the reciprocal relationships between search engine optimization and social media.
On April 18 from 2-3 p.m., Balderaz will host a webinar - "Turning Website Data into Business Intelligence" – aimed toward aiding marketing managers, executives and other professionals in healthcare, government, international corporations a webinar in looking to use data to make smarter and faster decisions. Registration for the event is free.
Balderaz will address the Ohio Northern University PRSSA group on April 19 at 7 p.m. to discuss social media research and planning with students and attendees.
The Conway Center for Family Business will welcome Marshall to their family business marketing webinars. On May 1, Marshall will speak during the webinar on “How to Grow Your Family Business with Search Marketing.” A few months later on August 7, she will engage with attendees on “Online Marketing Tactics for Family Businesses.”
Later in the spring, Balderaz and Marshall will host a breakout workshop, “Using Social Media for Research,” at the 2012 Harrisburg Social Media Summit held on May 23. Social media research proves valuable in comparison to traditional focus groups, which require far more resources and time and are subject to the observer effect.
