"Although these TORC drivers jump 200 feet, side by side at over 100mph, they're not much different than us. They all have their inner demons. They all have an arch nemesis. And they all desperately want to be the best." - BJ Birtwell, Executive Producer.

The Armory is excited to announce that the 4th season of its hit reality TV series production of “TORC: The Off Road Championship” will move to SPEED™ this fall with 18 hours of original programming.

Over the last 3 seasons, the show has taken viewers deep inside the world of TORC short course off road racing documenting the triumphs, challenges, and controversy that viewers won't find in traditional motorsports programming. "The battle for a championship is waged both on and off the track," says BJ Birtwell, Executive Producer at The Armory. "There's so much at stake for all these drivers that to simply show flag to flag racing would be a disservice to the amount of effort and emotion each team puts into their fight for a championship."

The Armory will continue to shoot TORC: The Off Road Championship with the industry's most innovative filming equipment including specially rigged radio control helicopters and RED Camera Systems. “When TORC PRO trucks are jumping 200 feet, side by side at more than 100 miles per hour, you have to be shooting on filming equipment that captures the emotion of that moment. And for us RED was the answer,” says Birtwell. “What this means for the viewer is that they can count on watching the highest quality, richest and crispest image imaginable. There is no other motorsports program on TV that shoots as much RED footage as The Armory does for TORC."

In addition to the fleet of RED cameras, The Armory deploys a litany of innovative vessels including radio controlled helicopters, drones and Traxxas R/C trucks all equipped with the latest HD cameras. Views from the ground, running underneath 900 horsepower TORC race trucks are coupled with aerial shots filmed just a few feet overhead making for high energy visuals. “We’ve been on the leading edge of radio control aerial and ground filming,” added Birtwell. “We will continue to use these assets as they provide incredible perspective, however Season 4 will also include some new surprises.”

The show has had its share of controversial moments most notably between TORC PRO 4 Drivers Ricky Johnson and Johnny Greaves. "Although these TORC drivers jump 200 feet, side by side at over 100mph, they're not much different than us. They all have their inner demons. They all have an arch nemesis. And they all desperately want to be the best."

TORC: The Off Road Championship begins airing this fall on SPEED with 18 hours of original programming.
