Last week Google announced a new feature in Google Plus called Hangout Apps, which allows participants in the ten person video conference to simultaneously view and interact with apps developed by third parties using the Google+ Hangouts API.

The six apps that Google features are:

1) Aces Hangout app
2) Clubhouse Challenge by +Bravo hangout app
3) Cacoo google hangout app
4) Google Effects hangout app
5) Scoot & Doodle hangout app
6) SlideShare hangout app

However, Google+ users were left with very limited options by there only being six apps to choose from, so Phillip Olsen decided to create an unofficial Google Hangout Apps directory called http://www.HangoutApps.com which displays the apps being created by developers using the Google+ Hangouts API.

To go along with the HangoutApps.com directory, you can also use the unofficial Google hangout apps directory as a hangout app itself. This is a great resource for hangouters to be able to access all of the unofficial hangout apps while hanging out.

The current unofficial apps that have been developed include:

Virtual White Board
Spanish Phrases
Google Translate Gadget/widget
Backgammon
Hangout Disco
Comment Tracker
LDS General Conference
Symphonical
YouTube Slam
Unofficial Apps Directory
White Board
Google Earth widget
Monster Milk truck

Check http://www.HangoutApps.com for a compete list and details regarding each Google+ Hangout App.
