“How to manage supply chain complexity in today's global volatility”, the MSCO Summit Conference theme for 2012

LLamasoft, the leading provider of supply chain design and predictive analytics software, actively supports the optimization of supply chains in China, and recently led discussions on the topic at the Manufacturing Supply Chain Summit 2012 in Shanghai on March 20-24.

The MSCO2012 conference welcomed 25 supply chain expert speakers from around the world, including LLamasoft’s Executive Vice President, Toby Brzoznowski, who spoke to the conference’s 350 supply chain executives from 16 countries about the benefits of Supply Chain Design.

According to the conference’s organizers, like author and thought leader John Gattorna, “Supply chain volatility and uncertainty have permanently increased. As supply chains become increasingly global, customer demand is increasingly volatile and supplier bases larger, the level of complexity inevitably rises to unparalleled levels”.

This year’s theme is “How to manage supply chain complexity in today's global volatility”. To meet the challenges of demand volatility, increasing complexity, cost pressures and risks, senior executives need to do a reality check of their global value chain capabilities.

Global network integration, real-time supply chain planning, increasing supply chain flexibility and visibility, better cost management, end-to-end supply chain risk management, and a truly integrated supply chain organization all must become priorities in the supply chain officers’ agenda in 2012 and beyond.

Supply Chain Design has become one of the key business processes to enable flexibility and rapid response to these new corporate challenges and LLamasoft is positioned as a global leader in this space.

Sample of Companies that Attended MSCO2012
