Scheduled from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Southwest CARE Center's Kentucky Derby Day benefit, a "Featured Event" on the event calendar, benefits the organization's AID & Comfort Fund on Sat., May 5. The event is being held at La Posada de Santa Fe Resort and Spa™ - A RockResort®, which is located at 330 East Palace Avenue, Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Kentucky Derby Day Event Benefiting The AID & Comfort Fund At Southwest CARE Center At La Posada de Santa Fe Resort And Spa™ - A RockResort® Sat., May 5

Southwest Care Center is holding a Kentucky Derby Day fundraiser from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sat., May 5, to benefit the AID & Comfort fund at La Posada de Santa Fe Resort and Spa ™ - A RockResort®. This event raises money to support the organization’s AID & Comfort fund, which financially supports the medical needs of people living with HIV/AIDS in New Mexico. The event is a "Featured Event" on the event calendar.

This New Mexico version of an old southern tradition coincides with the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby, which will be viewed by guests on large screen TV’s. There will be an auction, mint juleps, champagne and margaritas (in celebration of Cinco de Mayo), lavish southern buffet from the official Kentucky Derby Cookbook, music by the Route 66 Revelers Jazz Band and a hat parade and contest… so don your best derby duds and big hats to join the fun.

Tickets are $100 each and $150 for two before April 14th. This popular event sells out most years so it is highly suggested that those interested attending the event should buy their tickets early. Ticket price includes your choice of either a mint julep, flute of champagne or margarita.
