Team of French Dermatologists will present the results of their study at the upcoming ASLMS Annual Conference, to be held in Kissimmee, Florida April 18 – 22, 2012. Their study reveals that the EndyMed FSR handpiece is a safe and effective option for skin rejuvenation treatments, resulting in high patient satisfaction that continues after the completion of treatments.

EndyMed Medical is proud to announce the results of a new study from France that will be published and presented at the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery 32nd Annual Conference. This study confirms that EndyMed Medical's unique Fractional Skin Resurfacing (FSR) applicator provides a safe and effective combination of RF fractional skin resurfacing together with deep volumetric dermal heating for overall skin rejuvenation and wrinkle improvement. The study shows that the EndyMed FSR applicator achieves this effect with significantly lower downtime and less patient discomfort as reported with traditional fractional resurfacing lasers.

The study, entitled "Multisource Radiofrequency for Fractional Skin Resurfacing – Wrinkle Improvement", was conducted by Dr. Serge Dahan from the Clinique Saint-Jean Languedoc in Toulouse, France, Dr. Isabelle Rousseaux from the Cabinet de Dermatologie Esthétique, Lille Côté Sud, Loos, France, and Dr. Hugues Cartier from Centre Médical Saint-Jean, Arras, France. The objective of the study was to address the need of Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons to find a minimal pain, low downtime treatment that would provide both epidermal resurfacing for the improvement of skin roughness, and deep volumetric heating for the reduction of wrinkles and skin laxity. The study focused on the performance of the EndyMed FSR treatment handpiece.

The study included 10 subjects, ages 53-68 years (average 60.9) with a Fitzpatrick wrinkle scale of 5-8 (average 7.3). Treatment was performed with the EndyMed FSR handpiece of the EndyMed PRO multi-source RF system. The subjects were given one treatment a month for a total of three treatment sessions. The study results show that all patients experienced a significant reduction in the Fitzpatrick wrinkle score. The average Fitzpatrick wrinkle score was 7.3 at baseline, 4.9 one month after the first treatment, 4.2 one month after the second treatment, and 4.1 one month after the third treatment. Three months after the third treatment the score was 4.1 proving long term effect of the treatment.

The study also concluded that the EndyMed FSR treatments resulted in very high patient satisfaction that continued well after the completion of the treatment sessions. When asked at the end of the 3 treatment sessions, all subjects reported that they would recommend the EndyMed FSR treatment to their friends (67% "definitely yes", and 33% "yes"). When asked the same question 3 months after the completion of treatment, all patients (100%) answered "definitely yes". 100% of the study subjects would definitely recommend the treatment to their friends

EndyMed's FDA-cleared Fractional Skin Resurfacing (FSR) handpiece contains a matrix of 112 tiny RF electrodes that generate pulses of RF energy that are emitted deep into the skin, allowing for the first time simultaneous fractional micro ablation of the epidermis together with volumetric heating of 100% of the dermis. In contrast to fractional ablative lasers treatments that require pre- and post- treatment of the skin and are usually associated with considerable downtime, patients after receiving EndyMed's Fractional Skin Resurfacing treatment do not need any post-treatment care. Immediately after the EndyMed treatment, users can return to normal skin care routine, put on makeup if desired, and continue with their daily activities.

The results of this study clearly show that EndyMed's innovative FSR applicator offers an optimal solution for effective and safe rejuvenation affecting all skin layers. EndyMed's 3DEEP technology provides the best possible multi application treatment platform, providing fractional microablation for skin texture at the epidermal layer, together with high power multisource handpieces for high efficacy, painless non ablative skin tightening.
