STREETSBORO, Ohio (PRWEB) April 02, 2012
Soft-Lite Gorell LLC’s acquisition of Gorell Windows & Doors from its court-appointed receiver was approved March 29 in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court in Pittsburgh.
Soft-Lite Gorell, a U.S. manufacturer of premium replacement windows and doors, previously announced it had executed a formal agreement on March 15 to purchase assets of Gorell Windows & Doors, an Indiana, Pa., replacement window manufacturer, from its court-appointed receiver, The Meridian Group. Soft-Lite Gorell had announced Feb. 15 that it intended to acquire the Gorell product lines after Gorell entered into the court-supervised receivership.
Soft-Lite Gorell President Roy Anderson said the sale was approved March 29 by Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Christine A. Ward. Soft-Lite Gorell will continue to operate Gorell Windows & Doors’ retail outlet in Indiana, Pa., and honor previous warranties for ongoing customers. Anderson said Soft-Lite will manufacture popular Gorell products in its Streetsboro plant.
“I am delighted the sale is now final and we were able to save the Gorell products and customers from liquidation,” Anderson said. “I look forward to enhancing products and services to make both Gorell and Soft-Lite customers more successful as we bring the broadest product offering and array of features and options to dealers.”
Anderson noted an international cross-functional team already is working on the next generation of products to bring to market to ensure that Soft-Lite and Gorell dealers stay ahead of the curve.
